Start with people you know. It seems like the obvious answer but you would be surprised.

Present yourself in a way that you are available for XX (whatever your services are) and could they or someone they know (that part is key) benefit from XX.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The idea is to get their wheels turning, maybe they do not need your services, or at least right now but who might they know that does.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
